Jose Manuel Ramirez Rosales
Pioneer, 49er, artist, visionary and co-founder of the
City of Marysville, CA
We will explore Jose Manuel’s upbringing in Chile, his art education in France, his travels to California, the mining of gold, the purchase of land, the founding of the City of Marysville, the building of the Castle, his ranch and his subsequent return to Chile.
We will also have the opportunity to visit the Ellis Ramirez Castle at 220 Fifth Street for a tour conducted byManda Olmstead, co-owner of the Castle.
